Blog moving to a new site - last post here

Since I got my regular website back , I have still been blogging on here and just occasionally updating the website. However, since my website is also a blog, I am moving this blog over there and will only be blogging there from now on. This will be my last blog on here. So, for all my customers and friends, please come on over to my website :) www.edenslittleones.com
The new blog will also be posting on Facebook, just like this one does, but will not post to your dashboard updates unless you subscribe to it. See you there!

Trying out new eyebrows

I'm making a baby for a fundraiser and just got the first issue of the new doll magazine, with the eyebrow tutorial today :) Since I finished the painting tonight, I decided to try it out.

Laptop and new babies

Wow, I can't believe it's been so long since I've done a post! Ok, so I can, since sometimes I'm really bad about it lol. So here's the update: I got a new laptop and so the last week I've been transferring all my stuff from my old half-working laptop to my new laptop - with my favorites list, pictures, and all my websites (including passwords for everything), that has taken quite a while! I've still got a few things to transfer, but most is done. I'm a reborn mentor now, on the DSB (Dolls So Beautiful) forum. I get to start tomorrow and I'm so excited to be able to help a new reborn artist with the dark AA tones board (that's where the boss put me, and I love it)! I've mentored several new/newer artists privately before, just friends or friend/customers who were starting out and needed some help/advice, but never been chosen by a group before :) The one twin (Owen, who decided he didn't want to be a twin, and so the other sculpt was left for another time) was born and adopted while still in the painting process (still needed to do a bit of detailing and shading, but mostly done), the earliest one of my babies has been adopted. This is him, his mama named him Keyshon:
She also sent me a video of her opening him, which was so awesome to get to see her receive him! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZPszTv00sM&feature=youtu.be And I am currently working on Grace (Estelle sculpt), who is almost done, but I'll wait to share pictures of her when she's done in a few days. She was also adopted before even being born, by a customer who saw her on my Facebook page when I was posting rooting pictures. Keyshon was so much fun to reborn (all my babies are, but I really saw so many possibilities with him), that I am going to reborn another Owen sculpt next, and try to make this one a girl. :) Another post when Grace is finished!

So much going on

There is just so much going on right now - dr. appointments, van appointments to get an estimate and sell it, getting a car inspected to see if it would be good to buy, regular work, looking into going back to school this summer, and much more.

But through it all I am still working on Estelle, and she is coming along so sweetly! I only have a few details to do (nailtips, lips, eyebrows, and the final "pore" layer) and then I'll do some before-hair pictures of her.

A highlight of this week: My 74th baby went home this week and I got to see his mama opening his box :) Her mom video-taped the opening, with the family all around, and it was so exciting and so much fun to see everyone's reaction and meeting him for the first time! I almost cried, it was so great <3

I'll post again when I get the painting on Estelle (I'm going to have to start thinking of her name lol) done.

Dolls So Beautiful forum

This forum is my home, where I can share my life, especially my love for creating reborns (that most people in my non-online life don't understand, though some of them try). If you create reborn dolls, collect them, make clothes or other items for them, or are just curious about them, then this post is for you.

Dolls So Beautiful has been a fairly small group (in the lower hundreds in comparison to the higher hundreds or even more of big groups), but we're ready to share with you and I think you'll love it here. So here's your invite:

You are invited to join Dolls So Beautiful reborn forum,
specializing in ethnic babies :)

Collectors, seamstresses, and reborn artists - come and find your online home!

We are having a membership drive, so please post who invited you on your first post (in the "Please introduce yourself" section) and then join in the fun.

Share your newest creations or ideas, give input on others' posts, laugh until you cry at some of our rambunctious posts - no drama queens here, just great friends!

New plan

Website Translation Widget

ok, I started the twins and then just lost interest. I think it's because twins take so much longer and so they take a lot of patience. Also I was getting a little... not really frustrated, but just losing interest and the joy of it... because, even though they are twin sculpts, my mind sees them going in different directions and I find myself wanting to paint them differently. And so, since they are not customs and I can create them however I please, I'm going to. No longer will they be twins, but two babies, and I have no idea of the final outcome. I'm going to create the awake one first, simply because he/she is the one currently on my desk and ready for another paint wash.

I'll keep you all updated! :)
